Coach Andersen and I are excited to get started and prepare for our fall 2012 season. Cheering is an exciting sport that offers team bonding and skill building. We will have JV and Varsity teams for our fall season. JV season runs from August to the end of November.
Varsity runs from August to the end of February. If our team is able to build skills to compete, the Varsity season will run until the end of April.
Fall 2012-2013:
The JV team will cheer for JV footballgames-usually Mondays at 4pm and Saturdays at 9am.
The Varsity team will cheer for Varsity football games-usually Fridays from 6-9:30pm.
December-February 2012-2013:
The Varsity team will cheer for basketball on Tuesdays or Thursdays-home games only.

10/5/12 Valley Cup: Varsity and JV please wear uniforms to school for Valley Cup 1st period. We perform last in the lineup. Bring green shirt and also something pink to wear (to gain points for your class) and you can change in my room or in bathroom right after Cup. Varsity wear full uniforms with long sleeves. JV wear full uniform with black long sleeves. Please put hair in a high pony!
10/6/12 Varsity Game at Passaic Valley High School. Bus leaves at 1pm so be at school by 12:30, game starts at 2pm. Full uniform minus long sleeves, hair in high pony-It is supposed to be hot, so bring your long sleeves with you for game for just in case.
10/8/12 JV game at home at 4:15. Meet on field at 4pm. All girls wear full jv uniform and black long sleeves to game-it will be cold!

Game starts at 4:15 Monday, 9/24 so bring your uniform to school (no underarmour), and report to dance room fully dressed at 3:30-remember poms. We will practice before game. YOU CAN LEAVE YOUR BAGS IN MY CLASSROOM 114:)

Varsity Home Game this Friday, 9/28, 6pm-be there at 5:15pm. We will need to wear uniform to perform in Valley Cup-so we will decide at practice the uniform for the school day. It will be chilly at night, so wear long sleeve body liner for game. Hair UP!
JV girls are invited to cheer with us, in uniform. If all JV can attend, they could also perform routine/cheer!
I need JV volunteers to sell cheer items in stands. Michelle V. has agreed to take on the job of promoting coordinator...welcome!

Please bring toilet paper or paper towel rolls to fill with candy (Coaches will supply candy, wrapping and ribbon).

6/20/12:
- The office is setting up a box to collect medical forms part A and Part B in a sealed envelope. You can place your forms in box beginning July 2nd, but not later than July 31.
- Only the medical forms Part A and Part B should be placed in envelope because the rest of the forms are supposed to go online (paperless.)-this is new! Part A and Part B cannot be dated before July 1.
- Detailed info on medical forms is outlined on PVHS website under Athletics, go to bottom of page and click on the link to Nurse's website.
- Omnicheer website has our sneaker, bow, and boycut brief you will need for August 7th, if you prefer to order online. Click to view exact item and please order bow in KELLY GREEN & brief in BLACK.
6/15/12:
All cheerleaders begin practice August 7th and 8th. Please wear a white T-shirt (a logo is fine,) black shorts, and hair in a high ponytail. Times will be posted on the website.
If you are invited to join the Varsity team, you will be expected to attend our varsity practices planned for August 13, 14 & 15. Times to be posted on website.
Each cheerleader must purchase cheer sneakers from Modell's for $44.99, to be used on August 7th . They are the "Reebok Classic Freestyle Hi Women's". The same as last year.
6/7/12: Thank you to students who attended clinic and tryouts! Each of you showed strengths and an email will be sent before June 21 to let you know the direction our team will be taking:)
