The Science Curriculum in the Pascack Valley Regional High School District is designed to provide our students with the tools, skills, and resources necessary to thrive in our scientific and technologically based world.  Technology enhanced instruction, inquiry based laboratory experiments, and student-centered instruction allows our motivated and dedicated science faculty to continually challenge our science students.

The curriculum is designed to satisfy the needs of all science students by exceeding the New Jersey Core Content Standards.  The science department offers opportunities for students to enroll in biology, chemistry, and physics.  In addition, the district science department offers college level forensics through Syracuse University, a research in molecular genetics program linked with the Waksman Institute at Rutgers University, Earth Science related electives, and a team taught course with the Technology Education Department.

The Science Department is continually striving to be on the cutting edge of science instruction.  If you are a community member, scientist, engineer, researcher or other person involved with science who would be interested in speaking and sharing your experiences with our students, please contact the Supervisor of Science.  If you are a parent seeking information or clarification regarding your son or daughter’s science class or their performance in that class, please contact the teacher prior to contacting the supervisor of instruction.  Together we can continue to graduate scientifically literate and articulate students.
