Dear Parents and Community Members,
It is with great excitement that I begin my 2nd year as superintendent of the Pascack Valley Regional High School District. I have had the pleasure of serving this district for seventeen years, first as a physics teacher, then as supervisor of instruction, and most recently as director of curriculum. I am passionate about our district and our students, and am looking forward to working with you as superintendent of schools, as we take our educational institution to new heights!
The Pascack Valley Regional High School District is being recognized throughout the state and country as a progressive educational institution that has successfully embedded technology throughout our curriculum. We are focusing on providing college credit opportunities for our students, enhancing communication opportunities with other schools around the world, and promoting authentic research and internship opportunities for our students. I am proud to say that we are continually improving the way we educate our students, as evidenced by the recognition we have received from the National School Boards Association in March 2011 and again in the spring of 2012.
Reaching out to stakeholders and developing mutual respect through dialogue on issues is key to a successful educational program. I realize that we are in difficult financial times and that the costs associated with providing our students excellent educational opportunities can be a challenge for the community. It is my goal to continue to provide excellent opportunities for our students, while being mindful of the financial constraints that we are experiencing in today’s environment.
I look forward to an exciting year for our students! I urge you to reach out to any staff member or me if you have any concerns regarding our schools. Our lines of communication are open and we look forward to hearing from you. On behalf of the teachers, support staff, and administrators in the Pascack Valley Regional High School District, we thank you for your support of education!
